Birth and upbringing Salman bin Fahd Al-Awda was born on December 14, 1956, in the village of Al-Bar in the city of Buraidah (Al-Qassim region) in central Saudi Arabia. He spent part of his childhood in his village and then moved to Buraidah to continue his education.
